How it works

Three steps. One private channel.

From creating your QRGONG to a real conversation: the whole flow takes minutes, and the person scanning never needs an app.

01

Create

Create your QRGONG. Choose what it's for: a thing, a place, or a contact situation. Design it, set your text, and preview it live.

02

Place

Put it on a thing, at a place, on an advertisement, or wherever people may need to reach you. Print it yourself or order it printed.

03

Connect

Someone scans it. They land directly in a QRGONG browser chat. They send a message. You receive a notification. You reply. No app required for them.

Notifications

You'll know the moment someone reaches out.

The owner never needs the native app. Web push and email work independently: choose either, or both.

Web Push

Enable notifications in your browser. When a message arrives, you get a push: “Someone contacted your QRGONG.” One tap opens the conversation.

  • No native app needed
  • Works on desktop & mobile
  • Onboarding for iPhone included

Email

Email works on its own, no setup required. You get a message preview and a button to open the conversation in your browser.

  • Always available
  • Preview without opening
  • Private by design

Setup guide

Notifications on your phone, without an app.

QRGONG runs in the browser for owners and visitors alike. Nothing is downloaded from an app store: you allow notifications once per device, and everything else happens by itself. Email needs no setup at all.

Why there is no app in the first place

A QRGONG is a permanent web address, not a file on a phone. Your dashboard, your conversations and your alerts all live at that address, so a printed tag never depends on an app version, an update or a store listing. Visitors need nothing at all, and you decide how you want to be woken up.

iOS / iPadOS 16.4 or newer · Safari

iPhone & iPad

  1. 1Open www.qrgong.com in Safari, not inside Instagram, WhatsApp or Facebook.
  2. 2Tap the Share button and choose “Add to Home Screen”.
  3. 3Open QRGONG from the new icon on your Home Screen.
  4. 4Sign in and tap “Allow” when the notification prompt appears.

On iPhone, notifications only work from the Home Screen icon. A normal Safari tab never shows the prompt.

Chrome, Samsung Internet or Firefox

Android

  1. 1Open www.qrgong.com in your browser.
  2. 2Sign in to your account.
  3. 3Tap “Allow” when the browser asks for notification permission.
  4. 4Optional: add QRGONG to your Home Screen for a full-screen icon.

Nothing has to be installed. Keep QRGONG out of aggressive battery optimisation so alerts are not delayed.

Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari 16.4+

Computer

  1. 1Open www.qrgong.com and sign in.
  2. 2Allow notifications when the browser asks.
  3. 3No prompt? Allow the site behind the lock icon in the address bar, then reload.
  4. 4Repeat on every computer where you want to be reachable.

A permission belongs to one browser on one device. A new laptop starts with notifications switched off.

The same rules on every device

  • Allow notifications for the browser you actually use every day.
  • Never scan inside an in-app browser: Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook and LinkedIn windows cannot show notifications. Choose “Open in browser”.
  • Do not clear the site data for qrgong.com. It removes the permission and the device registration.
  • Private or incognito windows forget the permission as soon as you close them.
  • Focus modes, Do Not Disturb and Low Power Mode can silence or delay alerts without switching them off.
  • Phones managed by an employer can block notifications completely. Use email there.
  • Check the notification settings of the phone itself, not only those of the browser.

If nothing arrives

  • No prompt appears: notifications were blocked earlier. Allow them in the site settings, then reload the page.
  • Accepted, but still silent: check Focus / Do Not Disturb, then the app notification list in your phone settings.
  • iPhone went quiet after an iOS update: open the Home Screen icon once to register the device again.
  • Emails land in spam: mark one QRGONG mail as “not spam”, and the sender is trusted from then on.
  • Everything allowed and still nothing: write to us through the contact form with your device and browser.

The channel that always works

Email needs no permission and no setup. Every message reaches your account address within seconds, with a preview and a button that opens the conversation in your browser. On a locked-down work phone, in a browser that blocks notifications, or while travelling, it is what keeps you reachable.

The doorway

The QR is just the doorway.

Behind every QRGONG is a private contact point with a permanent identity. Change the design, change the text: the QR keeps working. The identity never changes.

Permanent identity

Every QRGONG has a stable technical identity. The name and design can change; the identity never does.

Design never breaks it

Update shape, template, or text anytime. Already-printed QRGONGs keep working.

Private by default

No phone number, email, or account details ever appear in the QR or the chat.
